The Renowned Musician Encourages Backing to Get Together for Palestine Song to UK Holiday Chart Peak.

A charity drive is aiming to launch a Palestinian lullaby to the Christmas number one spot. The effort hopes to provide aid to people in Gaza while also spotlighting Palestinian artistic heritage.

A Possibility for Unity and an "Chart Upset"

Renowned figure Brian Eno, who features on the track, stated that the release called 'Lullaby' represents a moment to stand with Palestinians this festive season. He acknowledged the potential for an unlikely festive coup.

“That would be amazing if that happened, yes,” he commented. “I won't be completely disheartened if it doesn't manage to, holiday tracks are a category of their own.”

Powerful Theme of Dignity and Freedom

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who features in the adaptation of a cultural piece called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the piece's defiant core message.

“It has a deeply meaningful spot for a lot of people,” Barghouti explained. “The message is that I would choose to perish with honor than exist without freedom. This is the primary message of the song; we seek to lead a respectful existence that we merit as a people.”

Recording Origins and Contributing Musicians

The track was produced after a large-scale benefit event held in late summer. Initially planned to be performed and recorded live, the performance was shelved during the concert due to scheduling overruns.

The impressive roster of performers featured on Lullaby features a selection of acclaimed names from the scene. All participated in the September show, which successfully generated a significant sum for humanitarian aid.

Creation and Launch

Lullaby was produced by a team of talented individuals. The track showcases a combination of the traditional Arabic lyrics with freshly written English words.

The organizers behind the project have stated that their goal is to raise as much as possible for a dedicated fund. These proceeds will be channeled to projects in Palestine through an partnering humanitarian organization.

“We haven't set a specific target,” a representative said. “We aim for whatever we can get. Of course, the more the merrier. All proceeds are directed out to the people of Gaza.”

The situation in the area was described as its extreme devastation, with a vast majority of infrastructure said to be destroyed or damaged.

“Given that reality, a few million won't make an enormous impact. But I think the significant factor is above all spreading knowledge of this plight and proving there’s another side to the story.”

The single 'Lullaby' is scheduled for release this Friday. Additionally, a complete film of the benefit event will be made ready to watch on a major video platform from later in the month.
