Singer D4vd Supposedly Identified as Suspect in Fatal Case of Adolescent Discovered in Tesla

This performer known as D4vd has been named as a suspect in the tragic passing of Celeste Rivas, a teenager who went missing and was later discovered deceased inside the musician's Tesla automobile earlier this year, according to police.

Location of the Body

This decayed body of Rivas, 15, was discovered in the fall inside the front trunk of a dark-colored Tesla owned by D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke. This car had been ticketed in a Hollywood Hills and subsequently confiscated at a tow yard in the metropolitan area.

Timeline of Incidents

Police theorize that Rivas almost certainly passed away in the earlier part of the year, stating that D4vd had likely been involved in dismantling and discarding the body. This artist has been uncooperative in the investigation, per a law enforcement insider.

The young girl Rivas was initially reported missing from Lake Elsinore in April 2024. The remains was eventually found in the artist's Tesla after workers at the impound facility alerted a strong stench emanating from the car.

Inquiry and Official Remarks

This cause of death has not yet been identified, but the coroner's office commented that Rivas “appears to have been deceased inside the car for an extended period before being discovered.” Police are treating her death as a suspicious death.

Details on the Artist

This Houston-born artist had been given a violation in the Los Angeles neighborhood just 11 days before Rivas was located in the car, after exceeding the 72-hour parking limit. Residents in the area reported that the Tesla had been parked in the area for several weeks.

Celeste's family member revealed that the family was knowledgeable that Rivas had a connection to the singer and that she was headed to watch a film with him just before she disappeared.

D4vd, referred to as “David,” is a New York-born singer-songwriter famous for the chart-toppers “Romantic Homicide” and “Here With Me.” The artist and his manager were living at a LA home in the Los Angeles neighborhood in this past autumn, as stated by the home's landlord, until police searched the property.

D4vd has signed with music companies. D4vd was traveling for performances at the period Rivas's body were discovered, but cancelled those performances following the discovery of Rivas's body.
