Devoted followers of the pop star are calling for that a individual who breached a fence and touched the performer during yesterday's Wicked: For Good debut be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A circulating footage reveals the individual from Australia pushing past camera operators and lunging at Grande while the actors made its way down a yellow carpet surrounded by supporters.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the event by event staff.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being detained", though official papers showed that he was set to be present on the following morning. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

History of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed features recordings of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney concert in recently and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers event in the city last winter.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is obviously a legal violation," commented an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" another Instagram user remarked.

Followers Voice Worry Over Grande's Well-being

Many followers blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the finale of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented another comment on Instagram.

Some supporters also questioned security officers at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals demanded online networks to block Mr Wen's videos.

Reaction and Event Details

In videos shared widely, Grande looked surprised when she was grabbed by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

Many of attendees had assembled in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good international premiere in a Singapore mall, including a number who had waited for as long as eight hours before it began.

The movie, to be launched on November 21, is the second of a dual interpretation of the well-known Broadway and West End show Wicked, which centers on the unlikely relationship between two distinct characters.

The production itself is a derivative of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a champagne pink glittering gown at the event while Erivo, who plays the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were alongside cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the top-earning motion picture of last year in the UK, and scored ten Academy Award nods, securing several for best costume and artistic direction.
